AFC General Meeting — Denver

General meetings are held on a regular basis and feature informative speakers on topics of interest to registered citizens, families, and advocates. This is a great place to meet others who may have helpful information to offer and to stay current on legislative updates, policy changes, and community resources.

NARSOL's Fearless Project operates dynamic, self-sustaining support groups nationwide for registered citizens and their adult family members. These groups provide a safe, confidential space for sharing experiences, emotional support, and practical information.

NARSOL 2026 National Conference — Baltimore, MD

NARSOL's annual conference brings together researchers, professors, attorneys, and advocates from across the country. The conference features dynamic headlining speakers, informative workshop topics, and unique networking opportunities for members and supporters.

ACSOL 2026 Annual Conference — Los Angeles, CA

ACSOL's annual conference returns in 2026 after a one-year hiatus. Since 2017, ACSOL has hosted annual in-person conferences bringing together registrants, families, attorneys, and advocates for education, legal updates, and community building.

Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB)

In June 2015, the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) established the Family Education, Engagement, and Support Committee, later renamed the Family Education, Engagement, and Support Working Group, in response to concerns from family members of individuals accused or convicted of a sex offense. For over six years, the Working Group met on the first Friday of each month to develop a comprehensive guide, aiming to support and inform families navigating this complex system. Families expressed a need for clear information about the legal process and the specific provisions and requirements affecting their loved ones.

SOMB conducts regular monthly meetings as well as several different sub-committee meetings. All meetings are open to the public, but some require an RSVP. Many meetings can be attended virtually.

CDOC Citizen Advocate Meetings

The Colorado Department of Corrections holds Citizen Advocate Meetings at regularly scheduled intervals as a forum for communication and information sharing between the Department of Corrections and its stakeholders. Citizen Advocate Meetings are typically held twice yearly.
